Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Passed the 2nd PUC (12th standard) examination or hold a 3‑year Diploma in Commercial Practice or an equivalent qualification.
- Passed Senior Grade Shorthand and Typewriting examinations in both Kannada and English conducted by the Department of Public Instruction, or possess an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Must have basic computer knowledge relevant to office work.

Pay Scale & Salary
Selected candidates will draw salary as per the following pay scale:
₹44,425 - 1125 - 47,800 - 1250 - 52,800 - 1375 - 58,300 - 1500 - 64,300 - 1650 - 74,200 - 1900 - 83,700
In addition, candidates will be covered under the National Pension Scheme (NPS).

Selection Process
- Skill Test (Shorthand & Typing) – candidates are dictated a passage at 120 wpm for 5 minutes each in Kannada and English.
- Transcription of the dictated passage on a computer within 45 minutes; software checks the transcript.
- Minimum of 100 marks for each language; at least 50 marks in each language to qualify.
- Qualified candidates are shortlisted for interview/document verification in a ratio of 1:5 per vacancy (top 5 candidates per post).
- Final selection is based on total marks obtained in the skill test plus interview/document verification.
