Qualification

  • RDAT Registration: Candidates must have completed registration at www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in and possess a valid registration number.
  • Note: Engineering graduates and Diploma holders are not eligible for this Act Apprentice notification.

Salary Details

Selected candidates will undergo apprenticeship training as per the Central Apprenticeship Council syllabus. During the training period, apprentices will be paid a stipend at the prescribed rates as per extant government instructions. There is no guarantee of regular railway job absorption after completion of the apprenticeship.

Selection Process

The selection process for SCR Act Apprentice 2025-26 is based purely on merit without any written test or interview.

  • Merit List: Prepared based on the average of percentage marks in 10th class (minimum 50% aggregate) and ITI marks, giving equal weightage to both.
  • Tie-Breaking: In case of equal aggregate percentage, the candidate higher in age will be preferred. If DOB is also same, the candidate who passed Matriculation earlier will be preferred.
  • Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for DV to verify original certificates (education, ITI, caste, EWS, PwBD, ExSM, RDAT, medical).
  • Medical Fitness: Candidates must produce a medical fitness certificate from a government-authorised doctor (Gazetted, not below Asst. Surgeon) in the prescribed format.
