- Date of birth must be between 2 January 2002 and 1 January 2009 (both inclusive).

Selection Process
- Document verification of all eligible candidates.
- Field trials (game skill, physical fitness, and coach’s observations) – total of 40 marks.
- Assessment of recognized sports achievements as per the prescribed norms – 50 marks.
- Educational qualification – 10 marks.
- Total marks out of 100; minimum qualifying marks: 65 for Level‑2 (GP 1900) and 60 for Level‑1 (GP 1800).
- Candidates scoring 25 or more out of 40 in the trial are declared FIT and proceed further.
- Final merit list prepared on total marks; in case of a tie, the younger candidate is preferred.
- Offer of appointment issued purely on merit.
