Educational Qualification
- Technician Grade‑I Signal: B.Sc. in Physics/Electronics/Computer Science/IT/Instrumentation, or a three‑year Diploma in Engineering, or a Degree in Engineering in the above streams.
- Technician Grade‑III (all 24 categories): Matriculation/SSLC plus ITI (NCVT/SCVT) or Matriculation/SSLC plus a completed apprenticeship in the relevant trade (e.g., Fitter, Welder, Electrician, Machinist, Carpenter, Blacksmith).
Age Relaxation
Standard relaxation applies: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC‑NCL, and additional relaxation for PwBD candidates (10‑13‑15 years as per category). Ex‑servicemen receive relaxation equal to length of service plus 3‑8 years depending on category.

Selection Process
- Computer Based Test (CBT) – 90 minutes, 100 questions, negative marking of 1/3 per wrong answer. Minimum qualifying marks: 40% (UR/EWS), 30% (OBC‑NCL/SC), 25% (ST).
- Document Verification (DV) – Verification of educational, experience and other required documents.
- Medical Examination – Candidates must satisfy the medical standards specified for each post.
