Eligibility Criteria
Citizenship
Candidate must be a citizen of India or possess a nationality as permitted under Rule‑7 of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
Gender

Educational Qualification
- Completed a minimum one‑year Multi‑Purpose Health Worker basic certificate or diploma from a government‑recognized institution; or
- Passed a minimum one‑year Sanitary Inspectors Diploma Course from a government‑recognized institution; or
- Passed a minimum one‑year certificate course of Health Sanitary Inspectors from an Industrial Training Institute or other government‑recognized institute; or
- Passed the diploma of Sanitary Inspector or Health Sanitary Inspector from a University established under a Central or State Act, or an institution deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
Basic computer application knowledge and proficiency in Gujarati or Hindi (or both) are also required.
Pay Scale & Salary
- Fixed monthly pay of ₹26,000 for the first five years.
- After five years, regular appointment in the 7th Pay Commission pay scale: ₹19,900 – ₹63,200 (Level‑2), subject to pending Supreme Court cases.
