Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
Candidate must be a citizen of India or possess nationality as per Rule‑7 of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
Educational Qualification
- Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Technology from a recognized university/institution (or any equivalent discipline listed in the notification).
- Basic knowledge of Computer Applications as prescribed under the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi, or both.

Pay Scale & Salary
- Initial fixed monthly pay: ₹49,600 for the first five years.
- After five years, candidates are placed on the 7th Pay Commission (Level‑7) with a salary range of ₹39,900 – ₹1,26,600, subject to government resolutions.

Selection Process
- Single‑stage objective MCQ examination (CBRT/OMR) divided into two parts.
- Part‑A – Reasoning & Data Interpretation (30 marks), Quantitative Aptitude (30 marks), Indian Constitution, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension (30 marks).
- Part‑B – Subject‑related Civil Engineering questions (120 marks).
- Total of 210 questions to be answered in 3 hours. Negative marking of ¼ mark for each wrong answer.
- Minimum qualifying standard: 40 % in each of Part‑A and Part‑B.
- Qualified candidates will be called for document verification, after which the final merit list will be released.
