Post & Organization Details
The apprenticeship programme is for a period of one year. Successful candidates will undergo practical training at ECL’s facilities and will receive a stipend as per the trade assigned. The contract terminates automatically upon completion of the training period.

Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must possess an ITI certificate in the trade applied for.
- The applicant must be registered on the NAPS portal in the same trade.
- A minimum of 40 % marks must be secured in the qualifying ITI examination.
- Only one trade can be applied for, either in West Bengal or Jharkhand.
- Applying for more than one discipline will lead to summary rejection.

Selection Process
- A merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the qualifying ITI examination.
- If marks are equal, preference is given to the candidate who passed the ITI earlier (by year of passing).
- If the year of passing is also the same, the older candidate (by date of birth) gets priority.
- If date of birth is also identical, the candidate who registered earlier on the NAPS portal is considered senior.
- Reservation as applicable for CPSUs will be observed throughout the process.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.
- After successful verification, a training engagement letter will be issued indicating posting details and reporting date.
- Candidates must join at the designated place of posting as per the engagement letter.
- A joining letter will be issued from the place of posting, after which the candidate must report back to the HRD office for contract creation.
- The place of apprenticeship training will be decided by the General Manager (HRD), ECL.

- Download the prescribed application format (Annexure‑I) from the official notification.
- Fill in all required details, including NAPS registration number, discipline, date of birth, and bank details as uploaded on the NAPS portal.
- Attach the self‑attested documents listed in the “Required Documents” section, along with the undertaking (Annexure‑III).
