Selection Process
- Candidates are shortlisted from the NAPS/NATS apprenticeship portal database.
- A merit list is prepared based on the percentage of marks with category‑specific weightage:
- Graduate: 20 % (10th) + 20 % (12th/Diploma) + 60 % (Graduation/PG) – total 100 marks.
- Diploma: 30 % (10th) + 70 % (Diploma) – total 100 marks.
- ITI: 30 % (10th) + 70 % (ITI) – total 100 marks.
- Reservation of 25 % seats per trade for candidates holding a residency certificate of the district where the project/power station/unit is located. Unfilled reserved seats go to candidates with a state residency certificate.
- Remaining seats are filled on open merit. In case of equal marks, the older candidate is preferred; if DOB is also same, the candidate who passed matriculation earlier is considered first.
