- Primary merit (i): Candidates with valid GATE/NET scores (2023 or later) are ranked in descending order of score.
- Secondary merit (ii): If vacancies remain, candidates are ranked based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination (2023 or later).
- A wait‑list panel will be prepared for any future vacancies; the panel remains valid for one year from the date of final result.
