Selection Process
- Stage 1 – Eligibility Assessment by Committee: Candidates meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria are assessed by a duly constituted committee. Those found suitable are designated as Trainee – Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
- Stage 2 – Training and Bond Execution: Selected candidates undergo DGCA‑approved Type‑Rated B1/B2 training. A training bond must be executed before the course starts. Failure to obtain the DGCA License within 4 years results in reversion to the previous post and recovery of the bond amount.
- Stage 3 – Absorption and Career Progression: Upon successful completion of training and acquisition of the DGCA License, candidates are placed in the applicable pay scale. Allocation to Group A or Group B depends on performance, training outcome, and vacancy availability. Career progression follows AIESL policy for the respective cadre.
