Eligibility Criteria

Non‑ITEP Posts

Eligibility is governed by the UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers (2018) and subsequent amendments. Candidates must possess the minimum academic qualifications prescribed for each post (e.g., Ph.D. for Professors, M.Phil/Ph.D. for Associate Professors, and a Master’s degree with NET/Ph.D. for Assistant Professors) along with the required teaching/research experience as stipulated in the notification.

ITEP Posts

Qualifications follow the National Council for Teacher Education (NCERT) Regulations, 2014 and amendments.

• Associate Professor (Sciences or Mathematics)
  • Master’s degree in Sciences/Mathematics (≥55%)
  • Master’s in Education (≥55%)
  • Ph.D. in Education
  • Minimum 8 years teaching/research experience at Assistant Professor level
  • At least 7 publications in peer‑reviewed/UGC‑listed journals and a research score of 75 (UGC 2018)
• Assistant Professor (Liberal Discipline & Pedagogy)
  • Post‑Graduate degree in the concerned subject (≥55%)
  • B.Ed. (≥55%)
  • NET/Ph.D. in Education or the concerned subject as prescribed by UGC
  • Subject‑specific PG requirements as listed in the notification (e.g., PG Zoology for B.Sc‑B.Ed Zoology, etc.)

Pay Scale & Salary

All posts are governed by the National Pension Scheme (NPS) and salary revisions as per government rules.
