Eligibility Criteria

Nationality / Citizenship Citizen of India (or subject of Nepal/Bhutan, Tibetan refugee before 01‑01‑1962, or Person of Indian origin with valid certificate)
Portal Registration (Mandatory) 100 % completed profile on both NAPS and NATS portals
Educational Qualification (as on 06‑06‑2026) Regular Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute (Post‑Graduates, candidates with ≥1 year work experience, or those who have completed 5 years after the qualifying exam are NOT eligible)
Prior Apprenticeship Candidate must NOT have undergone or be undergoing any apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961
Local Language Proficiency Must be proficient (read, write, speak, understand) in the local language of the applied State/UT and produce a certificate (8th/10th/12th/Graduate) as evidence
Aadhaar Valid Aadhaar number required before engagement/contract signing
Age Limit (as on 01‑05‑2026) General/EWS: 20 to 28 years
SC/ST: +5 years relaxation
OBC (Non‑Creamy): +3 years relaxation
PwBD: +10 years relaxation
Widows/Divorced/Separated Women: up to 35 years (General/EWS), 38 years (OBC), 40 years** (SC/ST)

Pay Scale & Salary

The apprenticeship offers a fixed stipend of Rs. 12,300 per month. No additional daily, conveyance or travelling allowances are provided.

Selection Process

  1. Merit list preparation based on HSC / 10+2 marks (state‑wise, district‑wise, category‑wise).
  2. Verification of eligibility, document authenticity, and medical fitness.
  3. In case of tie in marks, candidates are ranked by age (higher age gets preference) within the same category, state and district.
  4. Final selection and issuance of appointment letters to successful candidates.

  3. Visit the official Punjab & Sind Bank website (https://punjabandsind.bank.in/) and navigate to the “Apprentice Recruitment 2026” section.
  4. Click on the online application link and fill in personal, educational and bank details.
  5. Upload scanned copies of required documents (photograph, signature, Aadhaar, graduation certificate, local language certificate, etc.).
  6. Pay the applicable application fee (Rs. 200 for General/EWS/OBC or Rs. 100 for SC/ST/PwBD) through the online payment gateway.
  7. Review the entered information, submit the application and note down the generated application number for future reference.
  8. After submission, you may edit/modify the application (including fee payment) until the last date 06‑06‑2026.
