Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Indian citizen as per Articles 5‑8 of the Constitution.
- Registration Requirement: Must be registered with Assam Council of Medical Registration, Medical Council of India or National Medical Commission.
- In‑Service Doctors: Doctors employed with DME, DHS, NHM‑Assam or other government agencies are eligible without a separate NOC.
- Educational Qualification – Broad Speciality: MD/MS/DNB/MDS in the concerned subject from a NMC‑recognised university for most departments (Anaesthesiology, Dentistry, Dermatology, ENT, Emergency Medicine, FSM, Medicine, Microbiology, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, O&G, Pharmacology, Pathology, Psychiatry, Paediatrics, PM&R, Radiology, Radiation Oncology, Surgery, Community Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Nuclear Medicine).
- Educational Qualification – Specific Departments:
- Anatomy: MS (Anatomy) / M.Sc (Medical Anatomy) with Ph.D.
- Biochemistry: MD (Biochemistry) / M.Sc (Medical Biochemistry) with Ph.D.
- Physiology: MD (Physiology) / M.Sc (Medical Physiology) with Ph.D.
- Super Specialty Posts: MD/DNB in General Medicine for medical super‑specialties (Cardiology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Medical Oncology) and MS/DNB in General Surgery for surgical super‑specialties (Plastic Surgery, CTVS, Neuro‑Surgery, Urology, Paediatric Surgery). Preference/weightage for candidates holding DM/M.Ch/DNB in the specific super‑specialty.
- Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 45 years as on 01‑01‑2026. PWD candidates receive an additional relaxation of 10 years.
Pay Scale & Salary
Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Scale ₹57,700 – ₹1,82,400 per month (Academic Level 10) along with applicable allowances as per the governing rules.
