Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Must have passed a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Arts, Commerce, Business Management or Computer Applications from a recognized university.
  • Minimum aggregate marks:
    • General & OBC: 55%
    • SC / ST: 50%
  • Must have passed the Senior Grade Type‑writing examination in both English and Kannada.
  • Must possess a certificate in Computer Basics from a recognized institute.

Minimum age for all categories is 18 years. A one‑time relaxation of 5 years is applicable as per Government Notification DPAR 262 SRR 2025 dated 29.01.2026.

Pay Scale & Salary

Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of ₹25,500 – ₹81,100 (Level‑4) along with admissible allowances as per Karnataka Government norms. The same scale applies to both cadres.

Selection Process

  1. Shortlisting for Typing Test based on percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying degree.
  2. Typing Test (100 marks, minimum 60 to pass): 500‑word passage dictated in 10 minutes; transcription to be completed on a computer within 20 minutes.
  3. Interview (20 marks, minimum 10 to pass): Candidates who clear the Typing Test are called for interview in order of merit, up to 5 times the number of vacancies per category.
  4. Final Merit List prepared on a total of 120 marks (minimum 70 required to qualify).

  2. Register using a valid email ID and create a password.
  3. Fill in personal, educational, and category details in the online application form.
  4. Upload the following documents (PDF format, size limits as specified):
    • Passport‑size photograph (white background, 5 cm × 3.5 cm, max 50 KB, JPG)
    • Scanned signature (2.5 cm × 7.5 cm, max 25 KB, JPG)
    • SSLC marks card
    • Degree marks card
    • Senior Grade Type‑writing certificates (English & Kannada)
    • Computer basics certificate
    • Relevant caste / disability certificates where applicable
  5. Pay the applicable application fee through the SBI online payment gateway.
  6. Preview the application carefully; once submitted it cannot be modified or withdrawn.
  7. Save and print the application number for future reference and for downloading the Intimation Letter.
