Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Peon: SSLC or equivalent; must be able to read and write Kannada.
- Process Server: SSLC or equivalent; possession of a valid driving licence is preferred.
- Typist‑Copyist: Second PUC or equivalent + Junior Grade certificate in Kannada & English type‑writing (Dept. of Public Instruction).
- Typist: Second PUC or three‑year Diploma in Commercial Practice + Senior Grade type‑writing certificate in Kannada & English.
- Stenographer Grade‑III: Second PUC + Senior Grade Shorthand in Kannada + Senior Grade type‑writing certificates in Kannada & English.
Age Limit (as on 28 July 2026)
- General category: 18 to 35 years (plus 5 years relaxation as a one‑time measure).
- Category 2A/2B/3A/3B: 18 to 38 years (plus 5 years relaxation).
- SC/ST/Category‑1: 18 to 40 years (plus 5 years relaxation).
- Additional relaxations for government employees, widows, ex‑servicemen, armed forces personnel and PwD as per applicable rules.
Pay Scale & Salary
- Peon: ₹27,000 – ₹46,675 (Karnataka Pay Matrix).
- Process Server: ₹31,775 – ₹61,300.
- Typist / Typist‑Copyist: ₹34,100 – ₹67,600.
- Stenographer Grade‑III: ₹44,425 – ₹83,700.
- All posts are eligible for government allowances as per Karnataka rules.

Selection Process
- Written/Qualifying Test – Conducted for most posts based on the prescribed syllabus.
- Skill Test – Required for Typist, Typist‑Copyist and Stenographer posts (typing/shorthand on computer).
- Interview – Shortlisted candidates are called for interview (ratio varies: 1:5 for most posts, 1:10 for Peon, 1:25 for Process Server).
- Document Verification – Original certificates verified at the time of skill test/interview.
- Final Merit List – Prepared on the basis of combined marks of qualifying test, skill test and interview, subject to minimum qualifying marks.
