Eligibility Criteria
General Requirements
- Candidates must be original residents of Bihar and produce a valid residential certificate.
- Reservation as per Bihar Government policy (including EWS, 35% female reservation, and fee relaxation) will be applicable.
Associate Professor
- Doctoral degree in the relevant subject (including basic sciences) and a minimum of 8 years of experience as Assistant Professor‑cum‑Junior Scientist/Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist, or equivalent Pay Band‑3 experience, with documented research/teaching contributions.
- OR Doctoral degree with at least 8 years of high‑quality post‑doctoral research, evidenced by a minimum of 6 publications in NAAS‑rated journals (rating ≥ 7.5).
- Basic undergraduate degree in Veterinary Science (VCI Regulation 2016) is mandatory.
Assistant Professor
- Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (or grade B in 7‑point scale). SC/ST candidates get a 5% relaxation (minimum 50%).
- NET qualification is compulsory for disciplines where NET is conducted, along with at least one NAAS‑rated journal publication.
- NET exemption is allowed for Ph.D. holders who have completed the prescribed coursework and have at least two full‑length publications with NAAS rating ≥ 4.
- Ph.D. holders are preferred.
