Post & Organization Details

The post of X‑Ray Technician, Class 3 is a Class‑3 level technical position in the Health and Family Welfare Department of Gujarat. The selected candidates will be appointed on a fixed‑pay basis for the first five years and later regularised as per the 7th Pay Commission.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Graduation in Science (B.Sc.) from a recognized university.
  • Completion of a recognised X‑Ray Technician course conducted by a Government Institute or a Medical College approved by the National Medical Council.
  • Basic computer knowledge as prescribed under Gujarat Civil Services Classification (General) Rules, 1967.
  • Proficiency in Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Ex‑Servicemen receive additional relaxation equal to the length of service rendered plus 3 years, subject to a ceiling of 45 years. Candidates already serving in Gujarat Government and belonging to reserved categories are eligible for relaxation as per the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.

  • Group A (Visual): Low Vision (40–70 %).
  • Group B (Hearing): Deaf, Hard of Hearing.
  • Group C (Locomotor): One Leg, Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, Acid‑Attack Victim, Spinal Deformity, Spinal Injury (without neurological/limb dysfunction).

Selection Process

  1. Written Examination (MCQ‑Based, CBRT/OMR)
    • Part A – Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude, Indian Constitution, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension (90 marks).
    • Part B – X‑Ray Technician Technical Subject (120 marks).
    • Total: 210 marks; duration 3 hours; negative marking ¼ mark per wrong answer.
  2. Qualifying Standard – Minimum 40 % in Part A and 40 % in Part B independently.
  3. Provisional Merit List & Document Verification – Candidates ranked approximately twice the number of vacancies (category‑wise) will be called for verification.
  4. Final Selection List – Based on marks obtained with additional bonus marks:
    • Widows – 5 % bonus.
    • Recognised Sports Persons – 5 % bonus.

How to Apply

  1. Visit https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in.
  2. Click on “Online Application” → “Apply” and select “GSSSB”.
  3. Search for Advertisement No. 424/202627 (X‑Ray Technician, Class 3) and click “Apply Now”.
  4. Fill in all personal details (mandatory fields marked with *).
  5. Enter educational details as per the eligibility criteria.
  6. Accept the assurance (Baandhedari) terms; an Application Number will be generated – note it carefully.
  7. Upload photograph (5 cm × 3.6 cm, JPG, max 15 KB) and signature (2.5 cm × 7.5 cm, JPG, max 15 KB). Photo must have a white background and a visible date not older than one year.
  8. Click “Confirm Application”, verify all details and generate a Confirmation Number.
  9. Download and print the application form; keep it for future reference.
  10. Pay the exam fee online (by 1 July 2026) via “Print Application Form / Pay Fees” → “Online Payment of Fees”.
  11. Download and preserve the fee payment receipt.

Note: Once the application is confirmed, no changes can be made. If any correction is required, a fresh application must be submitted.
