Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Administrative Assistant / Scientific Administrative Assistant / Field Worker: Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Project Assistant (Science‑based projects): Bachelor’s degree in a science stream (Wildlife Science, Zoology, Ecology, Marine Sciences, etc.).
- Project Assistant (Social Science): Bachelor’s degree in any social science discipline (Geography, Statistics, Economics, Public Administration, etc.).
- Project Associate‑I: Four‑year Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Natural Sciences, Agricultural/Forestry Sciences, or BVSc.
- Project Associate‑II: Four‑year Bachelor’s/Master’s in Natural or Agricultural Sciences with 2 years R&D experience, or BVSc with 2 years experience, or Engineering/Technology degree with 2 years experience.
- Senior Project Associate: Four‑year Bachelor’s with 4 years R&D experience, or Master’s with 4 years experience, or Doctoral degree in relevant field.

Pay Scale & Salary
- Administrative Assistant / Scientific Administrative Assistant / Field Worker: ₹24,000 + HRA per month
- Project Assistant: ₹27,000 + HRA per month
- Project Associate‑I: ₹37,000 + HRA (NET/GATE) / ₹30,000 + HRA (Non‑NET/GATE)
- Project Associate‑II: ₹42,000 + HRA (NET/GATE) / ₹33,000 + HRA (Non‑NET/GATE)
- Senior Project Associate: ₹57,000 + HRA per month

Selection Process
- Shortlisting based on essential qualification, age limit, percentage of marks, relevance of specialization, research experience and publications.
- Scoring pattern (total 50 marks) varies by post:
- Field/Lab/Project Assistant: 25 marks for % marks in Bachelor’s degree, 25 marks for specialization relevance.
- Project Associate‑I: 25 marks for % marks in Master’s degree, 25 marks for specialization relevance.
- Project Associate‑II / Senior Project Associate / Principal Project Associate / Project Scientist: 5 marks for NET/JRF, 25 marks for % marks in Post‑Graduation, 10 marks for research/work experience, 10 marks for publications.
- Top 10 shortlisted candidates per position will be called for an online interview.
- Final selection will be based on interview performance and overall score. The Institute’s decision is final and binding.
