Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (PGVCL) has launched a special recruitment drive for the post of Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant) exclusively for Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) candidates. A total of 236 vacancies are available across four Gujarat DISCOMs, with online applications open from 17 July 2026 to 6 August 2026.

The recruitment is conducted by Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (PGVCL) on behalf of the four Gujarat State Electricity Distribution Companies (DISCOMs) under the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) umbrella: PGVCL, UGVCL, MGVCL, and DGVCL.

Eligibility Criteria

• Disability Requirement: Minimum 40% disability in any of the following categories – Low Vision (LV), Hard of Hearing (HH), One Arm (OA), One Leg (OL), Dwarfism (D), Leprosy Cured (LC), Acid Attack Victim (AAV), Specific Learning Disability (SLD), Spinal Injury (SI), Spinal Deformity (SD).
• Age Limit: Maximum 45 years as on 7 July 2026 (relaxations applicable as per government rules).
• Educational Qualification:
  • Graduate in B.A., B.Com, B.Sc., B.C.A., or B.B.A. (regular, external or ODL) from a UGC/AICTE recognized university.
  • Minimum 55% marks in the last year/last two semesters of graduation.
  • ODL/online programmes must be from NAAC‑accredited (≥3.01/4) or NBA‑accredited (≥650/1000) institutions.
  • Grade‑based results must be converted to percentage via a university certificate.
• Required Skills: Basic computer operations and good command over English and Gujarati.

Pay Scale & Salary

No additional allowances are payable during the fixed‑remuneration period, except TA/DA as per rules. After three years, candidates may be regularised in the pay scale of Rs. 25,000–55,800.
