Educational Qualification
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a university recognized by the UGC.

- Local residents of Chhattisgarh: upper limit relaxed by 5 years (up to 35 years), effectively allowing up to 40 years during the relaxation period (1 Jan 2024 – 31 Dec 2028).

Pay Scale & Salary

Selection Process
- Written Examination (Objective Type) – 150 questions, 3 hours, total 300 marks.
- Part 1 – General Knowledge: 50 questions, 100 marks
- Part 2 – Law (Major & Minor Acts): 100 questions, 200 marks
- Interview – 30 marks.
- Final Merit List – Combined score of 330 marks (written + interview), prepared category‑wise.
Negative marking is applied as per the formula: MO = M × R − (1/3) × M × W. Minimum qualifying marks: 33 % for Unreserved and 23 % for reserved categories in each paper. No minimum for the interview.
