Educational Qualification

  • Junior Engineer (JE) – Three‑year Diploma in Engineering (or equivalent B.E./B.Tech) in the discipline relevant to the specific JE post. The detailed discipline list is provided in Annexure‑A of the notification.
  • Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) – Three‑year Diploma in Engineering in any discipline.
  • Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) – B.Sc. degree with Physics and Chemistry (minimum 45 % marks) in any of the prescribed combinations.

Selection Process

  1. Stage 1 – CBT‑I (Common for all posts): 90 minutes, 100 questions covering Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness and General Science.
  2. Stage 2 – CBT‑II (Post‑specific): 120 minutes, 150 questions covering General Awareness, Physics & Chemistry, Basics of Computers, Environment & Pollution Control, and Technical Abilities.
  3. Stage 3 – Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates based on CBT‑II merit.
  4. Stage 4 – Medical Examination (ME): Final medical fitness check.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the official RRB portal or rrbapply.gov.in and create a new account using a valid mobile number and email ID. (These details cannot be changed later.)
  2. Log in with the newly created credentials and select CEN No. 04/2026 (JE/DMS/CMA).
  3. Choose **one** RRB only and enter your zone/post preferences in the order of priority.
  4. Fill in personal, educational and category details accurately.
  5. Capture a live photograph (webcam/front‑camera) as per guidelines and upload a scanned signature (JPG/JPEG, 30–49 KB).
  6. If you belong to a reserved category, upload the relevant certificate (PDF, under 400 KB).
  7. Pay the application fee (₹500 for General/OBC‑NCL/SC/ST/EWS, ₹250 for PwD) through the online payment gateway.
  8. Submit the application and note down the generated Application ID for future reference.

  1. What is the last date to submit the online application?
    The online application must be submitted on or before 13 Sep 2026 (23:59 hrs).
  2. Can I apply for more than one RRB?
    No. Candidates are allowed to select **only one** RRB for the entire application.
  3. What is the minimum qualifying percentage for CBT‑I?
    UR & EWS: 40 %, OBC‑NCL: 30 %, SC: 30 %, ST: 25 %. PwBD candidates may receive a relaxation of up to 2 marks.
  4. Is there a provision to modify my application after submission?
    Details entered in the “Create an Account” form (mobile number, email ID, and chosen RRB) cannot be modified at any stage, even during the modification window.
