Pay Scale & Salary
Selected candidates will be placed on the 2024 revised Karnataka State Pay Scale ranging from ₹41,300 to ₹81,800. The pay structure follows the incremental pattern: ₹41,300‑1,000‑43,300‑1,125‑47,800‑1,250‑52,800‑1,375‑58,300‑1,500‑64,300‑1,650‑74,200‑1,900‑81,800. A probation period of two years and the National Pension Scheme (NPS) are applicable.

Selection Process
- Competitive written examination (Computer‑Based Test or Offline OMR‑based) conducted by KEA.
- Two papers, each of 100 questions (100 marks) and 2 hours duration:
- Paper‑1: General knowledge, current affairs, Indian Constitution, Indian & Karnataka history, geography, economics, Panchayat Raj, rural cooperatives, Karnataka development schemes, environment.
- Paper‑2: General Kannada, General English, Computer Knowledge.
- Minimum qualifying aggregate: 35%. Candidates scoring below are disqualified.
- Negative marking: −0.25 for each wrong answer.
- Kannada Language Test for candidates not exempt; minimum 50 marks out of 150 required. This test does not count towards merit.
