Eligibility Criteria

Common Conditions (as on 01 November 2025)

  • Service Condition: Confirmed hand with a minimum of 8 years continuous service under Punjab Government.
  • Age Limit: Below 54 years as on 01 November 2025. Age relaxations as per government rules apply.
  • Educational Qualification: Graduate from a recognized university.
  • Punjabi Language Requirement: Proof of passing Punjabi up to Matriculation level or its equivalent.

Register A‑II (Advertisement No. 20263)

  • Open to Group A & Group B officers holding ministerial appointments not below the level of Senior Assistant.
  • Employees of Universities, Boards, Societies, PUDA, GMADA, PSPCL, PSTCL, Corporations, etc., are NOT eligible.

Register‑C (Advertisement No. 20264)

  • Open to Group A & Group B officers who are NOT covered under Register A‑I, A‑II, or A‑III categories (e.g., District Revenue Officers, Block Development Officers, etc.).
  • Same exclusion of employees of Universities, Boards, Societies, PUDA, GMADA, PSPCL, PSTCL, Corporations applies.

Selection Process

  1. Screening Test (100 marks, 50% weightage considered). Minimum qualifying marks: 30%. Candidates must rank within three times the number of vacancies to be shortlisted.
  2. Length of Service – up to 15 marks (0.54 marks per year beyond the mandatory 8 years, full marks at 36 total years).
  3. Assessment of Service Records (ACRs/APARs) – last 5 years, graded as Average (1), Good (2), Very Good (3), Outstanding (4) – up to 20 marks.
  4. Interview – up to 15 marks.

The final score is calculated as 50% of the screening test marks + ACR marks + Length of Service marks + Interview marks.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the official PPSC website ppsc.gov.in.
  2. Navigate to the “Recruitment” section and locate “Punjab Civil Services (Executive Branch) Recruitment 2026”.
  3. Download the General Information document for the relevant register (A‑II or C) and read it carefully.
  4. Click on the “Apply Online” link for your respective register.
  5. Register using your email and mobile number, then fill in personal, service and educational details as per the notification.
  6. Upload scanned copies of required documents (photograph, signature, service certificates, Punjabi language proof, etc.).

  9. Print the application form, affix a self‑attested copy of the fee concession certificate (if applicable) and submit the hard copy through your Head of Department before 30 July 2026 (by 05:00 PM).
