Educational Qualification (as on 20.04.2026)

A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India. No specific stream or subject restriction applies — candidates from any graduate background are eligible provided they meet the experience requirement.

Post-Qualification Experience (as on 20.04.2026)

A minimum of 18 months of post-graduation branch experience as an officer in any of the following:

  • Any Scheduled Commercial Bank (Public Sector, Private Sector, or Small Finance Bank), OR
  • Any Regional Rural Bank (RRB)

Selected Local Bank Officers will be placed in Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I) with the following pay scale and incremental structure:

Special provision: 3 advance increments will be granted at the time of joining, in recognition of the prior banking experience of lateral recruits.
