Eligibility Criteria

General Requirement

Knowledge of Punjabi (minimum Matriculation level) is mandatory for **all** posts.

Bulldozer Operator Matric with Heavy‑Duty Driving Licence.
Laboratory Assistant B.Sc. (Chemistry) with ≥60% marks OR M.Sc. (Chemistry) with ≥50% marks.
Electrician Grade‑1 3/4‑year Diploma in Electrical Engineering (≥50%) OR Matric with regular ITI in Electrical (≥60%) **and** 2 years experience as Electrician Grade‑2 in PSPCL/PSTCL.
Technician Grade‑1 / Mechanical 3/4‑year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (≥50%) OR Matric with regular ITI in Mechanical (≥60%) **and** 2 years experience as Technician Grade‑2 (Mechanical) in PSPCL/PSTCL.
Technician Grade‑1 / Instrumentation 3/4‑year Diploma in Instrumentation/Electronics/Electrical/Computer (≥50%) OR Matric with regular ITI in those streams (≥60%) **and** 2 years experience as Technician Grade‑2 (Instrumentation) in PSPCL/PSTCL.
Welder Grade‑1 Matric with ITI Certificate in Welding AND Certificate in welding as per IBR 1950 (radiographic welding on carbon & alloy steels).
Loco Shunter Operator Matric with Heavy‑Duty Driving Licence.
Fireman 1‑year Certificate/Diploma in Fire Fighting (≥50%) **and** Matric with Punjabi. Physical standards: Height 5 ft 5 in, Chest 33.5 in (unexpanded) / 35 in (expanded), Vision 6/6 both eyes without glasses. (For women/girls only height & vision standards apply.)

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 18 and 37 years as on 01‑01‑2026. Age relaxations are as follows:

Pay Scale & Salary

The minimum pay for each post is as mentioned in the vacancy table above (7th Central Pay Commission). During the probation period, candidates receive only the minimum admissible pay without Grade Pay, DA, annual increment, or other allowances except TA and medical reimbursement.

Selection Process

  1. Computer Based Online Test (CBT) for all posts.
  2. Physical Test for the post of Fireman (as per the physical standards mentioned).
  3. Final merit list will be prepared based on CBT scores (and Physical Test performance for Fireman).
  4. Selected candidates will be called for document verification and subsequent appointment.
