Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Minimum age: 18 years as on 05‑08‑2026.
- Maximum age: 30 years as on 05‑08‑2026, subject to relaxations:
- SC/ST – additional 5 years.
- OBC‑NCL – additional 3 years.
- Ex‑Servicemen – service period + 3 years (cumulative with other relaxations, not exceeding 50 years).
- Departmental candidates (CIL employees) – no upper age limit.
Educational Qualification
Mining Sirdar (T&S Gr. C)
- Option 1:
- Matriculation (10th) from any recognized board.
- Valid Mining Sirdarship Certificate of Competency issued by DGMS under Coal Mines Regulation 2017 (or equivalent).
- Valid Gas Testing Certificate.
- Valid First Aid Certificate.
- Option 2:
- Matriculation (10th) from any recognized board.
- Degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering from a recognized institute.
- Valid Overman Competency Certificate issued by DGMS (or equivalent).
- Valid Gas Testing Certificate.
- Valid First Aid Certificate.
Surveyor (Mining) (T&S Gr. B)
- Option 1:
- Matriculation (10th) from any recognized board.
- Valid Surveyors’ Certificate of Competency (SCC) granted under Coal Mines Regulation 2017 (or equivalent).

- Degree or Diploma in Mining/Mine Surveying Engineering from a recognized institute.
