Introduction

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Research Scientist: First Class M.Sc./M.Tech/M.Sc.(Tech) or equivalent in the relevant discipline with 1 year research/working experience. A Ph.D. is desirable.
  • Junior Research Fellow (JRF): First Class M.Sc./M.Tech (or B.E./B.Tech for certain CS posts) in the relevant discipline with a valid NET/GATE (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Project Associate‑I: First Class M.Sc. in Botany/Forestry/Environmental Science (or equivalent) with minimum 1 year experience in plant identification.

Minimum Academic Percentage / CGPA

  • M.E./M.Tech: Minimum 60% aggregate or CGPA 6.5/10.
  • B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc.: Minimum 65% aggregate or CGPA 6.84/10.
  • Rounding off marks or CGPA is not allowed.
  • All degrees must be recognized by AICTE/UGC or an equivalent authority.

Mandatory NET/GATE for JRF Posts (JRF01‑JRF07)

Candidates must possess a valid score in one of the following national‑level examinations in the relevant discipline and must present the score card at the interview:

  • CSIR‑UGC NET (including Lectureship)
  • GATE
  • JAM
  • JEST / JGEEBILS
  • AICE (ICAR)
