Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- For Kalyana Karnataka local‑cadre posts, a valid local candidature certificate as per the Karnataka Public Employment (Reservation for Local Candidates in Hyderabad‑Karnataka Region) Rules, 2013 is mandatory.
- Women having more than one living spouse, or men married to a woman who already has a living husband, are ineligible unless prior permission is obtained from the Government.
- Candidates must be mentally and physically fit and free from any defect that could affect duty performance.
Educational Qualification
Applicants must have passed 2nd PUC or possess an equivalent qualification. The following are treated as equivalent to 2nd PUC:
- Class 12 examination of CBSE, ICSE or any State Board.
- Higher secondary courses/certificates of the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).
- A one‑year vocational/ITI course after SSLC combined with a pass in one PUC subject (NIOS), provided a language and a technical/vocational subject are passed.
- Three‑year diploma after SSLC from a recognised technical institution (pre‑2015) – candidates must clear the compulsory Kannada language exam unless exempted.
The qualification must be obtained on or before the last date of application (10 August 2026). Candidates must also satisfy the Kannada language requirement as specified in the notification.

Selection Process
- Written Examination (offline OMR‑based, 100 questions, 100 marks, 1 hour 30 minutes; negative marking of 0.25 per wrong answer).
- Physical Standard Test (PST) – height, chest and weight measurements for candidates shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio.
- Physical Endurance Test (PET) – run, jump and shot‑put standards (no marks, pass/fail).
- Medical Examination – vision, hearing and overall fitness assessment.
- Final Merit List – prepared on the basis of written exam marks of candidates who clear PST, PET and the medical test.
