Selection Process
- Preliminary Exam – Objective MCQ test (100 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours). Minimum 30% marks required; candidates scoring at least 10× the number of vacancies (category‑wise) are shortlisted.
- Main Exam – Two papers:
- Paper I: Objective (200 marks, 3 hours) covering General Studies, Current Affairs, Mathematics, Reasoning, English, Hindi, and Bihar GK.
- Paper II: Descriptive (50 marks, 1 hour) – Hindi Essay, English Essay, English Precis, Hindi‑to‑English Translation.
Minimum 30% in each paper required; candidates equal to 3× the number of vacancies (category‑wise) are shortlisted for PET.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Verification of height, chest (male), weight, and other physical standards. No marks; qualifying in nature.
