- Citizen of India
- Subject of Nepal
- Person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries, or Vietnam with a valid eligibility certificate
Marital Status
Only unmarried male candidates are eligible. Marriage before or during training leads to cancellation.
Age Limit
Applicants must be between 20 and 27 years as on 01 Apr 2027 (i.e., date of birth between 01 Apr 2000 and 31 Mar 2007, both inclusive). The date of birth recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary School Certificate is the only accepted proof.

Educational Qualification
- Must have an engineering degree in a notified stream, or be a final‑year student of such a degree.
- Final‑year candidates must submit proof of passing the degree by 01 Apr 2027 and produce the degree certificate within 12 weeks of training start.
- Results declared after 29 Mar 2027 are ineligible.
- Degree must be from a university/institution recognized under the UGC, IIT, AICTE, NITSER, or IIIT Acts. Foreign degrees are not accepted.
Pay Scale & Salary
- Stipend during training: ₹56,100 per month (equivalent to Level‑10 pay matrix).
- Salary on commissioning (CTC): Approx. ₹17–18 lakh per annum (excluding free medical cover and one home‑town travel per year).
