The Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi has released a recruitment notification for 28 Group A non‑teaching posts across various cadres such as Administrative, Technical, Library, System Analyst, IWD, Rajbhasha and Sports. Eligibility Criteria

Administrative & Technical Cadre

• Assistant Registrar: Master’s Degree with ≥55% (or Grade B, UGC 7‑point scale) + ≥5 years relevant administrative experience at Pay Level 7 or above in government/PSU/research bodies.
• Senior Technical Officer: M.Tech (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Instrumentation & Control) ≥55% + 5 years experience at Pay Level 11 (or 8 years at Pay Level 10) OR Ph.D. + ≥8 years relevant experience.
• Technical Officer (Group‑I): B.E. in Pharmaceutical Engineering ≥55% + 7 years experience at Pay Level 7 or above OR M.Tech Pharmaceutical + 4 years OR M.Sc Chemistry + 5 years (all at Pay Level 7+).
• Technical Officer (Group‑II): B.E. in Electrical/Electronics/Bio‑Medical Engineering ≥55% + 7 years experience at Pay Level 7+ OR M.Tech same fields + 4 years OR M.Sc Physics + 5 years (Pay Level 7+).
• Technical Officer (Group‑III): B.E. Civil Engineering ≥55% + 7 years experience at Pay Level 7+ OR M.Tech Civil + 4 years (Pay Level 7+).

Library Cadre

• Librarian: Master’s in Library/Information Science/Documentation ≥55% (or Grade B) + minimum 18 years post‑qualification experience as College Librarian/Assistant Librarian OR 13 years as Deputy Librarian/equivalent at Pay Level 12.
• Deputy Librarian: Master’s in Library/Information Science/Documentation ≥55% (or Grade B) + 5 years experience as Assistant University/College Librarian at Pay Level 10.
• Assistant Librarian: Master’s in Library/Information/Documentation Science ≥55% + ≥5 years relevant experience at Pay Level 7+ and cleared UGC/CSIR NET or equivalent (SLET/SET).

System Analyst Cadre

• Principal System Analyst: B.E./B.Tech in CS/IT or MCA (first class) + 7 years experience at Pay Level 12 OR M.E./M.Tech CS/IT (first class) + 5 years at Pay Level 12.
• Senior System Analyst: B.E./B.Tech/MCA (first class) + 10 years experience (8 years at Pay Level 10+) OR M.E./M.Tech (first class) + 8 years experience (5 years at Pay Level 10+).
• System Analyst: B.E./B.Tech/MCA (first class) + 6 years experience OR M.E./M.Tech (first class) + 4 years experience in system administration/network management/web development/programming.

IWD, Rajbhasha & Sports Cadre

• Executive Engineer: B.E./B.Tech (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical) First Division + 8 years experience at Pay Level 10 OR Master’s in relevant field First Division + 6 years at Pay Level 10.
• Assistant Executive Engineer: B.E./B.Tech (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil) First Division + 3 years experience at Pay Level 8 OR 3‑year Diploma in Engineering First Division + 8 years experience (≥3 years at Pay Level 8).
• Hindi Officer: Master’s in Hindi with English as a main subject (or equivalent) ≥55% + 8 years terminological/translation experience at Pay Level 6+ (or 5 years at Pay Level 7+).
• Chief Sports Officer: Master’s in Physical Education/Sports Science ≥55% + 5 years experience at Pay Level 10+ (Ph.D. duration up to 3 years counted).
• Sports Officer: Master’s in Physical Education/Sports Science ≥55% (or Grade B) + diploma in sports coaching or representation at national level + 6 years experience organizing sports at university/inter‑college level.

Pay Scale & Salary

The notification specifies the Pay Level for each post (ranging from Level 10 to Level 14). Salary details follow the 7th Central Pay Commission norms and will be as per the respective Pay Level and applicable allowances.
