Educational Qualification

• Full‑time Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Technology (or related disciplines such as Production, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Automobile, etc.).
• UR/EWS candidates: minimum 60% marks (first class) or equivalent CGPA ≥ 6/10.
• Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC‑NCL/PwBD): minimum 50% marks or equivalent.
• Degree must be recognized by AICTE and awarded by a university established under an Act of Parliament/State Legislature or a deemed university.

Experience Requirement

• Minimum 2 years of post‑qualification experience in production, mechanical maintenance, or related mechanical engineering areas at a project site, factory, or plant.
• Apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, in the relevant discipline is acceptable.
• Training, internships, teaching, academic work, fellowships, or Ph.D. research are not counted as experience.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: 32 years as on 17 August 2026.

Pay Scale & Salary

The pay scale for the post is ₹40,000 – ₹1,40,000 per month (as per the latest RITES salary structure).

Selection Process

1. Written Test
   • 125 objective‑type questions, 1 mark each, 2.5 hours.
   • No negative marking.
   • Compensatory time of 50 minutes for PwBD candidates.
   • Minimum qualifying marks: 50% for UR/EWS, 45% for SC/ST/OBC‑NCL/PwBD.
2. Document Scrutiny
   • Based on written test results and vacancy count.
   • Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of original documents.
3. Interview
   • Interview ratio: 1:6 to the number of vacancies.
   • Weightage: Written Test – 60%, Interview – 40% (Technical 30%, Personality/Communication 10%).
   • Minimum interview marks: 60% for UR/EWS, 50% for SC/ST/OBC‑NCL/PwBD.
   • Interview can be conducted in Hindi or English.
