Selection Process

  1. Computer Based Online Test (CBT) consisting of two parts.
  2. Part‑I: Punjabi Language Qualifying Test (50 MCQs, minimum 50% i.e., 25 marks).
  3. Candidates who qualify Part‑I are eligible to appear for Part‑II.
  4. Part‑II: Main Competitive Examination (100 questions)
    • Technical (Electrician/Wireman) – 50 questions
    • Punjabi Language – 20 questions
    • General Knowledge – 10 questions
    • Reasoning – 10 questions
    • Arithmetic – 10 questions
  5. Total duration for both parts: 3 hours (180 minutes).
  6. No negative marking.
  7. Medium: Bilingual (English/Punjabi) for Part‑II except Punjabi language questions.
  8. Minimum qualifying marks: General – 25%; Reserved categories – 20%.
  9. Final merit list prepared on marks secured in Part‑II only.
  10. In case of tie, higher age gets preference; Sports Person category merit prepared separately.
