Selection Process
- Computer Based Online Test (CBT) consisting of two parts.
- Part‑I: Punjabi Language Qualifying Test (50 MCQs, minimum 50% i.e., 25 marks).
- Candidates who qualify Part‑I are eligible to appear for Part‑II.
- Part‑II: Main Competitive Examination (100 questions)
- Technical (Electrician/Wireman) – 50 questions
- Punjabi Language – 20 questions
- General Knowledge – 10 questions
- Reasoning – 10 questions
- Arithmetic – 10 questions
- Total duration for both parts: 3 hours (180 minutes).
- No negative marking.
- Medium: Bilingual (English/Punjabi) for Part‑II except Punjabi language questions.
- Minimum qualifying marks: General – 25%; Reserved categories – 20%.
- Final merit list prepared on marks secured in Part‑II only.
- In case of tie, higher age gets preference; Sports Person category merit prepared separately.
