Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

  • Minimum age: 21 years
  • Maximum age: 40 years (as on 1 July 2026)
  • Age relaxation as per Uttar Pradesh government rules for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and other reserved categories.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have qualified PET‑2025 with a valid score card and possess a degree in one of the following domains:

  • Biology Domain: B.Sc. (Biological Science / Forensic Science) with specialization in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Cell Biology, or Microbiology.
  • Physical Science Domain: B.Sc. (Physical Science / Forensic Science) with specialization in Physical Science, Nuclear Science, Instrumentation, or Electronics; or B.Tech in Instrumentation, Electrical & Electronics, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Chemistry Domain: B.Sc. (Chemistry / Forensic Science) with specialization in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
  • Computer Science Domain: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or ‘A’ level diploma from NIELIT.

Preferential consideration will be given to candidates holding an M.Sc. in the relevant subject, those with a minimum of two years’ service in the Territorial Army, or holders of a National Cadet Corps ‘B’ Certificate.

Selection Process

  1. Shortlisting of candidates based on the normalized PET‑2025 score (category‑wise) at 15 times the number of advertised vacancies.
  2. Eligible candidates are invited to appear for the Written Main Examination (100 objective‑type questions, 2 hours, negative marking of 0.25 per wrong answer).
  3. Final selection is made solely on the basis of the Main Examination marks.
