Educational Qualification
Candidate must possess a degree from a recognized university (UGC‑approved) as per the Central/State Act.
Special Preference
- Assistant Commissioner (Commercial Taxes) – Preference order: (1) B.Com + B.L. + Diploma in Taxation Laws, (2) B.Com + B.L., (3) B.Com or B.L. + Diploma, (4) B.Com or B.L. alone.
- Assistant Commissioner of Labour – Equal preference to freedom fighters and their families.
Knowledge of Tamil
Adequate Tamil knowledge is mandatory (SSLC/HSC/degree with Tamil, Tamil‑medium education, or passing the Tamil Second Language Test).
Medical & Vision Standards
Physical fitness certificate required at joining. Visual acuity must be Standard III or better; defective vision candidates need an Eye Fitness certificate.
