Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

  • Assistant Professor: Maximum age 40 years. Relaxation – OBC: 5 years, SC/ST: 5 years, PWD: 15 years, Regular Employees of State of UP: 5 years.
  • Associate Professor and Professor: No upper age limit (relaxation as per prevailing rules).

Educational & Experience Requirements

  • Professor (Various Specialisations): Ph.D. in the relevant discipline, minimum 10 research publications in NAAS‑rated/UGC‑listed journals, total API score 120, and at least 10 years teaching/research experience.
  • Associate Professor: Ph.D. in the relevant discipline, Master’s with at least 55% marks, minimum 7–8 publications, and at least 8 years teaching/research experience (including post‑Ph.D. experience where specified).
  • Assistant Professor: Recognised basic veterinary qualification (as per Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984) and registration with State Veterinary Council/VCI, plus NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. as per UGC regulations.

Pay Scale & Salary

  • Professor: Academic Level 14 – Rationalised entry pay of Rs. 1,44,200/- per month.
  • Associate Professor: Academic Level 13A – Rationalised entry pay of Rs. 1,31,400/- per month.
  • Assistant Professor: Academic Level 10 – Rationalised entry pay of Rs. 57,700/- per month.
