Seed Certification Officer Recruitment 2026 – 19 Vacancies | TGPSC

Introduction

The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has released Notification No. 03/OG/SD/2026 for the recruitment of Seed Certification Officer posts. A total of 19 vacancies are available across various categories, and applications can be submitted online from 07 July 2026 to 12 August 2026 (5:00 PM).

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate must be a citizen of India.
• Character and antecedents must be suitable for government service.
• Educational Qualification: Basic Degree in Agriculture with a post‑graduate M.Sc. (Ag.) in Seed Technology, Plant Breeding, Agronomy or Plant Physiology from an ICAR‑recognized university. Degrees obtained through Open Universities or Distance Education must be recognized by UGC/AICTE/DEB.

Age Relaxation

• SC / ST / BC / EWS: 5 years
• Physically Handicapped (PH): 10 years
• Telangana State Government Employees: up to 5 years (based on length of regular service)
• Ex‑Servicemen: 3 years plus length of service in armed forces
• NCC Instructors: 3 years plus length of NCC service

Pay Scale & Salary

Selected candidates will draw a pay scale of Rs. 51,320 – Rs. 1,27,310 per month as per Telangana State Government pay rules.

Application Fee

All unemployed applicants are exempted from the examination fee. Government employees must pay the examination fee. Payments are to be made online via Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card or UPI and are non‑refundable.

Selection Process

1. Written examination (objective type) conducted either as OMR‑based offline or CBRT.
2. Two papers:
   • Paper I – General Studies and General Abilities: 150 questions, 150 minutes, maximum 150 marks (bilingual).
   • Paper II – Subject Concerned (Post‑Graduate Level): 150 questions, 150 minutes, maximum 150 marks (English only). Covers General Agriculture, Agronomy, Plant Breeding, Seed Science & Technology, Plant Physiology.
3. Total marks: 300.
4. Qualifying marks:
   • OC, Sportspersons & EWS: 40 %
   • BC: 35 %
   • SC, ST & PH: 30 %
5. Scores from multi‑session CBRT exams will be normalized; merit list prepared on normalized marks (up to 5 decimal places).
6. Examination centres: Hyderabad (including HMDA), Karimnagar, Khammam, Warangal, Nizamabad.

How to Apply

1. Visit the official TGPSC portal: tgpsc.gov.in.
2. New candidates must complete One Time Registration (OTR) to obtain a TGPSC ID; existing candidates can log in with their ID.
3. Enter your TGPSC ID and Date of Birth, verify the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
4. Confirm the pre‑filled personal and academic details fetched from the OTR database.
5. Select your preferred examination centre.
6. Review the application for accuracy, then click SAVE & PAYMENT.
7. Pay the applicable fee (application processing fee and, if applicable, examination fee) via Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card or UPI.
8. After successful payment, download the PDF application form and note the Reference ID for future correspondence.

2. What educational qualification is required?

3. Is there any age relaxation?
