Eligibility Criteria
Nationality / Citizenship
- Citizen of India
- Subject of Nepal or Bhutan
- Tibetan refugee who entered India before 01‑01‑1962 with intention of permanent settlement
- Person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam with intention of permanent settlement
Applicants in the last three categories must possess a valid eligibility certificate issued by the Government of India and must be proficient in the local language of the state applied for.
Age
- Minimum: 20 years
- Maximum: 30 years (as on 01‑07‑2026)
Educational Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline from a university/institution recognised/approved by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies.
- Valid mark‑sheet/degree certificate must be uploaded at the time of registration.
Language Requirement
- Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking the mandatory local language of the chosen state.
- Candidates not having studied the language in Class 10 or 12 will appear for a Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT) conducted by an external agency.
Post‑Qualification Experience
- Minimum one year of experience in Clerical/Officer cadre in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank (as per RBI Act, 1934).
- One advance increment is payable for each completed prior year of service as an Officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank (maximum two increments).
- Experience in other financial institutions is not considered unless the job profile matches that of a Scale‑I Generalist Officer of PNB.
- No prior service/experience will be counted for seniority.
Pay Scale & Salary
Selected candidates will draw salary in the scale of Rs. 48,480‑2,000/7‑62,480‑2,340/2‑67,160‑2,680/7‑85,920 under JMGS‑I. In addition to Basic Pay, candidates will receive Dearness Allowance (DA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), HRA/Leased Accommodation, Leave Fare Concession, Medical Insurance, Retirement Benefits and other perquisites as per bank rules.
