Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a trained Home Guards Volunteer.
- Must be an Indian citizen.
- Must be domiciled in the State of Meghalaya.
Age Limit
The upper age limit is 50 years as on 1 September 2026.
Nature of Engagement
- Volunteers will be paid an honorarium as prescribed by the Department of Labour, Employment & Skill Development, Govt. of Meghalaya, including Risk Allowance.

Selection Process
- Personal Interview conducted at Tura and Shillong centres.

- Volunteers must carry valid ID proof and original documents for verification during the interview.
How to Apply
- Obtain the prescribed Standard Form for enrolment (available at District Home Guards Offices, Training Centres, or Civil Defence Offices).
- Fill in the form and attach:
- Two (2) recent passport‑size photographs (one to be pasted on the form).
- Attested copy of Educational Qualification Certificate.
- Birth Certificate or Age Certificate as per school records.
- EPIC (Electors Photo Identity Card) of Meghalaya.
- Home Guards Basic Training Certificate.
- Medical Fitness Certificate from an authorized government medical practitioner/institution.
- Submit the completed application to the respective District Home Guards Office, Officers Commanding District Training Centre, or Civil Defence Office of your deployment area on or before 28 September 2026.
