Eligibility Criteria

  • Citizenship: Must be an Indian citizen.
  • Domicile: Must be domiciled in the state of Meghalaya.
  • Deployment History: Must be a Home Guards Volunteer who has been deployed/engaged with various Requisitioning Agencies for a total period of 3 years (1095 days).
  • Upper Age Limit: Must not exceed 50 years as on 15 April 2026.

Pay Scale & Salary

The volunteers will receive honoraria under the ‘Wages’, Highly Skilled Category as prescribed by the Department of Labour, Employment & Skill Development, Government of Meghalaya. The rate, including the Risk Allowance prescribed by the State Government, will be updated from time to time. No regularisation or permanent retention is applicable.

Selection Process

  1. Submission of application in Prescribed Standard Form with all required documents to the respective District Home Guards office or District Training Centre or Deputy Controller of Civil Defence office.
  2. Scrutiny of applications.
  3. Personal Interview at Tura or Shillong centres.

  1. Obtain the Prescribed Standard Form from District Home Guards Commandant offices, District Training Centres, Civil Defence Offices, Deputy Commissioners of all districts, or download the detailed notice from the official website.
  2. Fill in the form carefully, paste one passport‑size photograph, and keep an extra copy ready.
  3. Attach self‑attested copies of all required certificates (educational qualification, birth/age certificate, EPIC, Home Guards Basic Training Certificate, Medical Fitness Certificate, Deployment Period Certificate, etc.).
  4. Submit the completed form and attachments to the appropriate District Home Guards Office / Officers Commanding District Training Centre / Civil Defence Office from where you are currently deployed.
  5. Government servants must route their application through the appropriate administrative authority.
  6. Ensure the application reaches the designated office by 6 July 2026. Late submissions will not be considered.
