Educational & Experience Requirements

  • Specialist Grade II (Junior Scale) – MBBS (registered under Indian Medical Council Act) plus the relevant postgraduate qualification (M.D./M.S./D.M.) and the post‑PG experience specified for each specialty (generally 3 years, with variations for DM courses).
  • General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO) – Any medical qualification listed in Schedule I, II or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, together with 3 years post‑internship experience after the compulsory 1‑year internship.
  • Child Psychologist – M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 years experience in child & adolescent mental health, plus a valid registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).

Selection Process

  1. Computer Based Test (CBT) – objective type MCQ.
  2. Personal Interview for candidates who qualify the CBT.
  3. Final merit list prepared on the basis of 80 % CBT + 20 % Interview weightage.
