The Department of Posts (India Post) under the Ministry of Communications is conducting the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Online Engagement Schedule‑II for the July‑2026 cycle. The engagement seeks to fill the following posts in rural post offices across India:
- Branch Postmaster (BPM) – In‑charge of a single‑handed Branch Post Office.
- Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) – Assists the BPM in all postal operations.
- Dak Sevak – Handles mail/parcels, stamp sales and assists the Postmaster.

Eligibility Criteria

TRCA is increased by **3 %** annually and is payable with Dearness Allowance as per Government orders. GDS personnel are also eligible for Gratuity and Service Discharge Benefit Scheme.

How to Apply
- Visit the official GDS Online Engagement Portal at https://indiapost.gov.in/gdsonlineengagement.
- Click on “One‑Time Registration” and fill in the required personal details. Submit the registration before 19 September 2026, 1700 hrs.
- After successful registration, log in using the generated Registration ID and password.
- Fill in the application form, select the preferred post (BPM / ABPM / Dak Sevak) and the desired Circle/Division.
- Upload scanned copies of the following documents (as per the checklist):
- 10th Standard Mark Sheet (with Mathematics & English)
- Local Language Certificate (up to 10th standard)
- Age Proof (Birth Certificate / School Certificate)
- Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Photograph (recent, passport size)
- Signature
- Pay the application fee of ₹100 (or skip payment if you belong to an exempted category).
- Review all entered details carefully and click “Submit”. A confirmation receipt with Application ID will be generated—download and keep it safely.
