Eligibility Criteria and Educational Qualifications

The required educational qualifications vary by post and are detailed as follows:

  • Supervisor Posts: First-class full-time Diploma in Engineering in the relevant stream (Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Metallurgy) or a higher qualification like B.Tech/B.E./B.Sc. (Engineering) in the relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Engraver: Bachelor of Fine Arts (Sculpture or Metal Works) with at least 55% marks from a recognized institution.
  • Junior Office Assistant & Junior Bullion Assistant: Graduate in any discipline with computer knowledge and a typing speed of 40 words per minute (w.p.m.) in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi.
  • Junior Hindi Typist: Graduate in any discipline with computer knowledge and a Hindi typing speed of 30 w.p.m.
  • Laboratory Assistant: B.Sc. with Chemistry as a major subject and at least 55% marks.
  • Junior Technician (All Trades): Full-time ITI certificate recognized by NCVT/SCVT in the relevant trade (Fitter, Turner, Electrician, Carpenter, Melter, Chemical Plant Operator, Goldsmith).

Selection Process and Exam Pattern

The selection process consists of a Computer Based Test (CBT), followed by a Typing/Skill Test for specific posts. Key details of the CBT are as follows:

  • Supervisor Posts: Single-phase CBT of 150 marks (120 minutes). Sections: General Arithmetic (25 marks), Logical Reasoning (20 marks), Technical/Professional Knowledge (105 marks).
  • Junior Office Assistant, Junior Bullion Assistant & Junior Hindi Typist: CBT of 150 marks (120 minutes) covering General Awareness, Computer Knowledge, English Language Skills, Numerical Aptitude, and Reasoning Aptitude (30 marks each). Followed by a typing test (English @ 40 w.p.m. or Hindi @ 30 w.p.m.). Final merit is based on CBT performance.
  • Junior Technician Posts: Single-phase CBT of 120 marks (120 minutes). Sections: General Arithmetic (20 marks), Logical Reasoning (15 marks), Technical/Professional Knowledge (85 marks).
