Selection Process
- Stage I – Written Examination (Objective type MCQ) for all posts.
- Stage II – Skill Test (qualifying) for posts 17/26 (DEO), 20/26 (JSA) and 22/26 (LDC). Marks of Skill Test are not added to the merit list.

All questions are objective type MCQ. No negative marking. Minimum qualifying aggregate: 33 %. No sectional cut‑offs.
Stage II – Skill Test
Applicable to post codes 17/26, 20/26 and 22/26. The test is qualifying only; marks are not added to the final merit list. Tentative commencement: 10 October 2026 onwards.
How to Apply
- Visit the official APSSB website: https://www.apssb.nic.in and click on the “CHSLE 2026” online application link (active from 20 July 2026).
- Register by providing your basic details (name, email, mobile number) and create a login ID and password.
- Log in using the newly created credentials and fill in the application form. Provide personal information, educational qualifications, category, and select your preferred post(s) and department(s). Once submitted, the preference cannot be altered.
- Upload scanned copies of required documents (photograph, signature, age proof, educational certificates, caste/ PwBD certificate, etc.) as per the specifications mentioned in the notification.
- Pay the applicable examination fee online (₹150 for APST candidates, ₹200 for UR candidates; PwD candidates are exempted).
- Review all entered information carefully and submit the application. After successful submission, download and take a printout of the confirmation receipt for future reference.

- What is the last date to submit the online application?
The online application must be submitted on or before 10 August 2026 (5:00 PM). - What are the age limits for the posts?
Generally, candidates must be between 18‑32 years for most posts, with specific limits of 18‑35 years for certain technical posts. Age relaxations apply as per category. - Is there any negative marking in the written exam?
No. The written examination carries no negative marking. - Which posts require a Skill Test?
Posts 17/26 (Data Entry Operator), 20/26 (Junior Secretariat Assistant) and 22/26 (Lower Division Clerk) require a Skill Test in addition to the written exam. - What is the examination fee for a PwD candidate?
