Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Engineering from a university or institution recognised by the State or Central Government. No other equivalent qualification will be accepted.
- Language Requirement: Must be able to read, write and speak Odia. Satisfy at least one of the following:
- Passed Middle School Examination with Odia as a language subject; or
- Passed Matriculation (or equivalent) with Odia as the medium of examination; or
- Passed Odia as a language subject in the final examination of Class VII; or
- Passed a test in Odia conducted by the School & Mass Education Department, Government of Odisha.
- Age Limit (as on 1 January 2026): 21 to 42 years. Date of birth must be between 02 January 1984 and 01 January 2005. Age relaxations apply as per the table below.
- Other Conditions: Indian citizenship, sound mental and physical health, no more than one living spouse (unless exempted), and compliance with any debarment orders of OPSC/State PSC/UPSC.

Selection Process
- Online registration and payment of the application fee.
- Submission of the online application form with required documents.
- Screening of applications for eligibility and fee verification.
- Written Examination (200 marks) consisting of:
- Paper‑I: General Engineering (100 marks, 100 questions, 2 hours)
- Paper‑II: Agricultural Processing, Food Engineering & Soil‑Water Conservation Engineering (100 marks, 100 questions, 2 hours)
Both papers are objective type with 25 % negative marking.
- Shortlisting of candidates who meet the qualifying marks for the Personality Test (Interview) in a ratio of approximately 1:2 of the advertised vacancies.
- Personality Test / Interview (25 marks). Final merit list prepared on the aggregate of Written Examination + Interview (out of 225 marks).
- Final selection and issuance of appointment letters.
